This includes the organising regular study circles (Dars / Halaqa), social & cultural gatherings, education & training, providing assistance & support, fundraising events for less fortunates and many other activities. Furthermore, volunteers of UK Islamic Mission Ladies Wing visit hospitals and prisons to help those who are less fortunate than us.

UK Islamic Mission does not believe in any sect or specific school of thought. Our doors are open to all Muslims sisters and other faith communities. We invite you to join us at any of the following location to learn more about the real message of Islam.

A quick round up of the passed/ongoing activities of UKIM Women Wing

With the grace of Almighty Allah, we have been able to devise result oriented activities for women and youth alike. Please read through to have a taste of what we are up to!

 Da?wah Week:

 ????? ??? ??? ???

?Convey from me even if it is (only) one aayah.? (Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 3461)

One of the four major duties of a Muslim is to spread the word of Allah swt as it is mentioned in Surah ?Asr, ???????????? ?????????? ?and exhort one another to truth?. The intended purpose of the da?wah week was to reach out to commoners in an attempt to clarify their misconceptions and to instil in them the true essence of Islam, free of all innovations.

UKIM Sisters worked at all levels to ensure effective circulation of the UKIM literature, Sr Shaina from Rochdale, Sr Samiya from Bradford, Sr Zahida and Sr Sumera from Nelson and their teams worked hard to distribute literature in their respective towns and cities. UKIM sisters arranged programmes in their local masajid addressing a variety of issues and presenting there probable solutions. Sr Naseem from Keighley did da?wah at different locations including her school, mosque and in a programme on Sunday the 11th of July 2010.

Jazakum allahu khayran to all the sisters, including those who we have not been able to mention above, for doing a great job! May Allah swt reward you for your efforts!

 Workers? Convention:

Held on the 11th of July

Indeed, it was our pleasure to host a successful workers? convention, full of fun and fervour! We thank all who tried their best to make it and to meet up with other members, associate members and sympathisers as we had gathered together, at the European Islamic Centre, to discuss the way forward and to share our success stories in the field of da?wah. And a warm thanks to Sister Muzayyan who travelled all the way from Germany to UK to adorn our convention with her presence and wise words.

 SKYPE Classes for Shura:

First Skype Class Held on the 16th of July 2010

To save time, resources and the rest what could be more effective than staying in touch through internet?! The Shura sessions have been setup to train, guide and equip the Shura members with the right ingredients needed to spread the message of UKIM outside and within.

 Youth Setup:

"If you are bareheaded, develop high resolve,
For here the crown is only for the eagle?s head."

UKIM perceives shabaab al Islam (The Muslim Youth) as the high soaring eagle and nothing less! We want our youth to stop living a life of idleness and accept the challenges of life. We want them to have the glorious characteristics of resolution of will, hope, self-control in the face of difficulties and self-confidence.

You are an eagle, flight is your vocation:

You have other skies stretching out before you.

Do not let mere day and night entangle you,

Other times and places belong to you.

Keeping these in mind, we have tried to initiate a youth circle intended to train the UKIM Youth.

 Upcoming events:

8th of August: Luton

24th of July: Burnley

 Welcoming the month of Ramadan:

July-August-September

As we all know that the month of Ramadan is fast approaching. It is one of the greatest opportunities to repent and to come under the shade of Allah azzawajal, so no matter what don?t miss it! If you really want to get ready for the training you are about to go through in the month of Ramadan ? then worry no more as we have lined up programmes welcoming the month of Ramadan across the country. Contact your local branch for more info.

Let?s prepare ourselves to make the most of the month of Ramadan. No time is like Ramadan time! Let?s make the strongest possible connection with this blessed month so that when it parts from us - our hearts cry out loud for it to stay a little more!

Stand still, you ever moving sphere of heaven,

That time may cease, and midnight never comes.

 Establishing a new halaqah online:

For all those individuals who, despite their efforts, do not have enough committed people to start a halaqah on regular basis. Insha Allah, we intend to connect them through a new online halaqah so that those individuals can stay in touch with UKIM. The Mission strives hard to retain its committed members and desires not to rust their skills.

 ?Get Well Soon? Wishes:

26.68: And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful.

Indeed, Allah swt has all the powers, since He is the only one we turn to for du?as, we ask Allah azzawajal to give shifa to our much-loved Sr Nighat Bashir, Sr Shabana Fayyaz, the two lovely daughters of Abida Bano and those who are suffering from any minor or major health problem, allahumma ameen.

Kindly, do not forget to call upon (either in person, by phone, email or even a ?get well soon? e-card would do!) the ones who are not in good health and need your du?as.

 ?????? ?????? ?????????? ????? ????????? ?????????? ???? ??????????

I ask Allah the Almighty, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to make you well

 Nikahun Mubarakun:

July - August

Just a quick note to let you all know that two of our beloved members

Mrs Farrukh Awaan and Mrs Shahida Akram Khan, both from Luton, cordially request you to remember their families in your du?as at the auspicious occasion of their daughters? marriage ceremonies.

May Allah swt bless them with the best of this world and the hereafter, allahumma ameen. Wishing them all the best, insha Allah ta?ala!

We have plenty more activities going on; if you really want to join in, get in touch with your local branch. Act now!
