Where the proud Himalayan peak of Mount Everest looms, its icy breath whispering tales of mortality, daring souls embark on treacherous paths. Through perilous ravines and vertiginous heights, they envision a journey that would make any reasonable person break into a sweat. Yet, amidst this fear, an unfamiliar figure emerges—a human who approaches this formidable challenge as if it were a mere game.
Akke Rehman, as the Brand Ambassador for the UK Islamic Mission (UKIM), embarks this formidable campaign—one fuelled by renewed passion and unwavering determination.
Beyond the rigors of mountaineering, it entails direct engagement in humanitarian endeavours and UKIM’s humanitarian and charitable causes.
To raise funds exclusively for humanitarian causes.
and a what a mission it is — the grandest of expeditions aimed at conquering the world’s 14 highest peaks.
Aptly named, ‘The 14 Peaks Challenge,’ this unique endeavor has a lot of historical weight: only 52 mountaineers worldwide have ever achieved the honor of scaling these fourteen summits, collectively soaring to a staggering height of 115,962 meters.
All funds raised will support UKIM's humanitarian projects such as iCare food hubs, livelihood, orphan care, and widow support in the UK.
Additionally, major UKIM humanitarian projects in Bangladesh, Rohingya Refugee Camps, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Palestine, Morocco, Syria and Yemen will benefit.
If you don’t choose a specific cause of where you like the donated funds to go, UKIM will use their best judgement to direct funds to the most appropriate in that time.
To make it easy for you we have created donation price points for quick and easy donating.
Spontaneity is the key! You can always choose your own if you do not see the desired donation value.
Please donate generously and help us create history on this momentous and exclusive humanitarian cause.
Our core aspect of our work revolves around providing essential humanitarian aid to those in need, both locally and internationally. This includes initiatives such as emergency relief efforts in response to natural disasters, provision of food and shelter to the homeless, and assistance to refugees and displaced populations.
UK Islamic Mission helps Rohingya Muslims in Bangladesh who are living in desperate circumstances – almost one million of which reside in Cox’s Bazar, Kutupalong, the largest refugee camp in the world.
