For many children in rural Pakistan, the nearest school is a two-hour walk away.
As per the World Health Organisation (WHO), 264 million children around the world are not in school. This is a staggering statistic, especially when you consider how easily so many of us take our own access to education for granted.
These children are ready and eager to learn, but many have no school in their village. This means that they are faced with the option of walking for hours and arriving at school exhausted from the long and unsafe walk or simply not attending at all. Either way, children are unable to fully benefit from education.
UK Islamic Mission transforms existing local buildings into schools so that children in rural areas can easily go to school and improve their lives with the gift of learning. You can help to make learning more enjoyable, comfortable and accessible for children.
Thousands have already benefitted from our programme, but there are many more children to reach. Donate to build a school with UK Islamic Mission and help us to make a real difference to the lives of impoverished children in remote areas.
