Responding to the Rohingya Crisis

ROHINGYA MUSLIMS HAVE LONG BEEN DISCRIMINATED AGAINST AND PERSECUTED FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN BECAUSE OF WHO THEY ARE

Over one million Rohingya Muslims have fled their homes in search of safety and peace, with another 600,000 trapped in conflict zones, placing them in grave danger. This is, without a doubt, one of the worst humanitarian crises in the modern world, and it continues to worsen.

UK Islamic Mission believes that this persecution should not be happening in the 21st century, and neither do our sponsors, who have already helped us to help them – but we need much, much more help if we are to ensure that each and every innocent life is protected. Our Rohingya brothers and sisters need our help today, so read on to discover more.

The community has been left stateless despite strong links to Myanmar. This is otherwise known as the Rohingya refugee crisis, which influenced us to establish our Rohingya charity appeal. £50: Will provide a food pack that will feed a family for one month.

£100: Will provide nutritious cooked meals for 100 people.

£200: Will provide a clean drinking water supply through water tankers, 10,000 litres of safe water.

£500 (or £42 per month): Will provide a family with safe, durable accommodation, enabling them to live their lives with dignity

£1200 (or £100 per month): Will adopt a refugee family where your generosity will help to keep them clothed, fed and safe for a year under a shelter.

£3000 (or £250 per month): Can build a mosque/prayer space for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. This would provide a clean and safe place for daily prayers and other religious activities.
