He is not a believer who eats his fill whilst his neighbour beside him goes hungry.
-(Bukhari)

It may be an old saying, but there is no doubt that for many, charity begins at home.

Of course, it is important to collectively support our brothers and sisters in need around the world, but at the same time, we must not forget that there is also great need right here in the UK.

Close to home and in our own communities, people are struggling to get by day to day.

Countless homeless people have no choice but to face night after night on the streets – even in freezing temperatures and harsh winter conditions.

According to figures from the DWP (Department of Work and Pensions), one in three children in the UK are living in poverty.

Millions of families are struggling to make ends meet, left with no choice but to depend on food banks to get by.

Established in 2016, iCare is a specific division of UK Islamic Mission which is dedicated solely towards helping those in need right here in the UK.

Our current iCare UK projects include:

  • Cold Survival Kits – providing an essential kit containing a sleeping bag, rucksack and warm clothes to help a vulnerable homeless person through the cold winter months
  • Neighbours in Need – join together and fundraise for the benefit of those in your community with UK Islamic Mission’s iCare Neighbours in Need project
  • iCare Food Hub – providing both individuals and families in need with food parcels to support those who are struggling

Join our generous donors and support those in need on your own doorstep. Collectively, we can make great headway and create a brighter future for every member of our local communities.
