Disabled people suffer largely due to outdated attitudes which view them as a burden or even subhuman; not worthy of education, attention or love.
Many people even hold these attitudes towards their own family members. UK Islamic Mission challenges these beliefs and the resulting discrimination with training for parents and teachers. We also empower disabled children with education and healthcare, integrating them into the society in they have been marginalised.
