MUCH OF GAZA HAS BEEN REDUCED TO RUINS, EVEN ITS MOST SACRED PLACES.
According to UN at least 3,695 homes have been completely destroyed while another 4,235 are damaged, but not beyond repair. They have also destroyed 133 schools and 22 health centres, stadiums, playgrounds, mosques, roads, power and water supplies, phone towers, communications centres and government buildings. Addressing this situation UKIM is continuously working to bring back the infrastructure, by repairing homes, Water treatment plants and Building health Facilities.
Since 2014, UKIM with the help of their donors has rebuilt 4 Mosques in Gaza. They are Masjid AL Noor, Masjid Omer Farooq, Masjid Bilal bin Raba and Masjid e Ibrahim, serving more than 3000 local families.
Our work done not stop here, with you help and support we will rebuild another historic mosque which was destroyed in 2014, Masjid e Mahkamah. This was a congregational mosque and madrasa, built in 1455, almost 550 years ago. At the moment people pray in makeshift tents.
Brothers and sisters it goes without saying that your generosity in this cause will bring in heaps of rewards. The mosque is the heart of any muslim community where muslims gather to offer 5 obligatory prayers every day. As said in Surah Noor of Quran
[Such niches are] in mosques which Allah has ordered to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein; exalting Him within them in the morning and the evenings
Al Quran (24:36) .
In a Sahih Hadith from Muslim Prophet S.A.W said mosques are the most beloved places to Allah and in another Hadith Prophet S.A.W said “Whoever builds a Masjid for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise.” We ask our donors to come forward and help us to rebuild this mosque and earn sadaqa e jariya for you and your family.
