Hope in Hardship Appeal
Care Where It’s Needed Most

This Ramadan, a group of sisters from UKIM are coming together with one shared intention: to raise £10,000+ in support of families facing unimaginable hardship.

From vulnerable communities in Bangladesh, to displaced families in the Rohingya camps, and Syrian refugees rebuilding their lives after conflict — this appeal is about standing with those who need us most.

Across these regions, families are struggling with poverty, displacement, illness, and lack of basic necessities. Mothers are going without medical care. Children are growing up without safe shelter. Families are living without clean water, medication, or stability.

But together, we can change that.

Through this appeal, your donation can help provide:

  • Life-changing cataract surgery restoring sight
  • Essential medication for vulnerable families
  • Safe bamboo shelters for displaced households
  • Clean water through hand pumps and water projects
  • Wedding support packs to help couples begin married life with dignity

This is more than fundraising — it is an opportunity to earn reward in the most blessed month of the year by bringing relief, dignity, and hope to those in desperate need.

Please support, share, and be part of this journey. Every contribution brings us closer to our £10,000 goal — and closer to transforming lives this Ramadan.

Appeals

Eye Cataract Surgery – £35

What this provides:

  • Cataract assessment and surgery
  • Lens replacement
  • Post-operative medication and care

“For just £35, you can restore someone’s sight.

This covers the full cataract surgery — assessment, treatment, and aftercare.

A mother can see her children again. A father can work again.

Blindness from cataracts is reversible — but only if someone pays the cost.”

Medication Support – £150

What this provides:

  • Essential medicines for acute or chronic illness
  • Treatment for infections, pain relief, and basic healthcare needs
  • Medical support for vulnerable families, children, and the elderly

“£150 provides essential medication for families who cannot afford basic treatment.

In refugee camps and poor communities, illness goes untreated simply because medicine is unaffordable.

This donation brings relief, healing, and hope — when it’s needed most.”

Bamboo Shelter – £800

What this provides:

  • A durable bamboo shelter
  • Roofing, walls, and basic flooring
  • Protection from rain, heat, and harsh weather
  • Privacy and safety for an entire family

“For £800, you can build a bamboo shelter for a displaced family.

This isn’t just a structure — it’s protection, privacy, and dignity.

A place where children can sleep safely and parents can breathe again.”

Water Project / Water Hand Pump – £200

What this provides:

  • Installation of a water hand pump or small water system
  • Clean, safe drinking water for multiple families
  • Reduced waterborne diseases
  • Long-term Sadaqah Jariyah impact

“£200 provides clean water to families who currently drink from unsafe sources.

This water project means fewer illnesses, healthier children, and ongoing reward.

Every drop becomes a source of blessing.”
