Giving charity is a beautiful act of faith that unites people and communities across the globe. When people stand up to help those facing hardship, we choose to uplift their lives and provide hope and relief to those who need it most.
For over six decades, we here at UK Islamic Mission have dedicated our time to serve those in need by following Islamic guidelines. Through our relief programmes, appeals, and on-ground projects, we have the ability to work together to provide kindness and justice to the most vulnerable.
When we spend in the way of Allah, we are opening the doors to spiritual growth and closeness to our Lord. Allah tells us in the Quran that “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven ears; in every ear there are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies the reward for whom He wills.” [Quran 2:261]
Even the smallest act of kindness has the ability to multiply benefit beyond our imagination. You can donate your sadaqah online to UKIM and help support the lives of the vulnerable.
The term sadaqah means to give voluntarily. Unlike Zakat, which is a mandatory form of charity, Sadaqah is an act of giving without a fixed amount to be given and can be contributed at any time of the year, as many times as you want. It is essentially an open invitation to spread kindness and support those in need through whatever means you can.
The Messenger of Allah taught us that Sadaqah is more than just giving money. It has been narrated that he has said “To smile in the company of your brother is charity. To remove a harmful thing from the path is charity. Pouring water from your jug into your brother’s jug is charity.” Any act of kindness or good to someone else is a form of Sadaqah.
Giving sadaqah is also in place to not only benefit the one who receives, but also the one who gives. Giving charity purifies the heart from greed and brings blessings into our lives, with a very well-known hadith telling us that The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) said: “Charity does not decrease wealth.” (Sahih Muslim)
Allah has also told us in the Quran that “Whatever you spend in charity, He will compensate it; and He is the Best Provider.” [Quran 34:39]
In the world we live in today, giving charity has become simple. Today, many charities can offer a secure online platform where people can give their sadaqah quickly and efficiently. UKIM offer multiple sadaqah options online, allowing you to give to the projects that mean most to you, from providing food supplies to the hungry to securing emergency shelters for the ones who are displaced. Giving sadaqah online gives you an opportunity to provide welfare assistance with a click of a button.
You can visit our donation pages and make a contribution to any cause that’s close to your heart, providing a real difference to the lives of those who need it most. You can also choose to set up a regular payment, turning the act of giving into a constant source of kindness and reward.
When you give sadaqah online, you can support many communities facing hardship in their lives. With the right intention made at the time of donation, you have the chance to reap the rewards of giving and donate on behalf of yourself or a loved one.
We here at UKIM have a mission that encourages love and respect for those around us. Through our charity projects and community services, we are working to push the narrative that faith without action is incomplete. The spirit of giving can bring communities together and allow us to fulfil our responsibility to those in need, reflecting on the values of mercy and generosity, all within the teachings of Islam.
You can give sadaqah online through UKIM and support the work that we do. Whether you choose to give a small or large contribution, whatever it is you give with the right intention will welcome reward by the mercy of Allah.
We pray that Allah accepts our charity and efforts, granting reward to us in this life and in the hereafter.
You can donate your sadaqah online with UK Islamic Mission and be part of a programme to change the lives of those in need.
