UK Islamic Mission Condemns Mosque Attacks

The UK Islamic Mission is deeply saddened by and condemns the recent rise in Islamophobic incidents and the growing number of attacks targeting mosques and Muslim communities across the UK including the arson attack on Peacehaven Mosque in East Sussex, the recent attack on Elaf Mosque in Stockport, and other similar incidents.

UKIM President Riaz Wali said: “We call for the strongest response to these attacks on mosques. Violence against any place of worship is an attack on all of us.

“We call on law enforcement to bring perpetrators swiftly to justice. We will not allow extremists to define our relationships with one another. Our shared humanity demands that we stand together.”
