Assalām u'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullāhī Wa Barakātuh. We, a group of brothers, have come together to raise funds for an extremely good cause, to build a Musjid and Water Well within an extremely poor area In'Sha'Allah!
The following heading's provide some information to where the donations will go and how they will be used:
CAPACITY - Space for 150-250 Muslims to pray at one time, although many more community members will pray there, Insha Allah.
MADRASAH - Building a musjid with UKIM will also provide a madrasah for 50+ children to study Islam and become hafiz-ul Qur'an, Insha Allah.
FACILITIES - Every musjid is fully furnished, including wudu facilities and lighting etc, and will be ready to use upon the project completion. Optionally, you can also add a water well facility next to the mosque. Some mosques provide a sister's section.
MAINTENANCE - Every musjid we build belongs to each community it is built-in. They maintain it and provide the continued funding for this.
LOCATIONS - Every musjid is located in a rural community that does not have a musjid, or it is too small or is in a bad condition. Many communities lost their local musjid due to a disaster like a flood or an earthquake, and we often rebuild those Masajid. We have requested for this Musjid to be located in Bangladesh in an area which meets the above criteria.
PROJECT LENGTH - 6-8 months to build.
FEEDBACK - After the project begins, UKIM will provide you with an initiation certificate and the location information. UKIM will then update you halfway through the process, including pictures. Finally, we send donors a completion certificate and report with pictures.
UKIM'S EXPERIENCE - UK Islamic Mission is one of the oldest Muslim charities in the UK (established in 1962). Over the years, with thanks to Allah (SWT), UKIM have built over 250 mosques around the world.
VISIT YOUR MOSQUE - By building a musjid with UKIM, you will also have the opportunity and will be very welcome to visit your musjid. You will be able to pray in the musjid you built and meet the local community including the imam, Insha Allah.
