World Hijab Day Celebrates Diversity, Empowerment, and Understanding
On February 1, UK Islamic Mission (UKIM) proudly supports and acknowledges World Hijab Day, a global initiative dedicated to fostering inclusivity, education, and dialogue.
Established in 2013 by Nazma Khan, the initiative seeks to promote religious tolerance, understanding, and dialogue regarding the hijab. This annual global awareness and educational event, occurring on February 1st across over 150 countries, aims to foster inclusivity. It invites women from diverse faiths and backgrounds to wear a hijab for a day, encouraging active engagement in conversations about Islam.
World Hijab Day serves as a powerful platform to dispel misconceptions surrounding the hijab and celebrate the diverse expressions of Muslim women worldwide.
